Ivory solemnization Dress

Sometimes ago, i did a favor for my cousin's friends for her nikah dress.. the dress was very plain, with few embroideries at sleeves and body.. i was afraid that i cannot make the dress more lovelier..firstly i sew on beads, but beads are very hard to handle, speed for beadings also low, and the impact is very less.. then i decided to put pearls only because the impact of it is huge compared to beads. and here goes~

Sulam Manik ~ Beads

Lately i'm interested in beadings (sulaman manik). it was triggered when i made a request to my tailor for my engagement dress. and it turns out to be very expensive for a little detailing. nyesal pulak g tempah sulam manik skali. it was not that impressive and how i wish it will be more glam~ at least a little glam-glam..so i tried DIY and it was quite fun after looking at the outcome.

Later my cousin asked me to add beadings for her dress which she had asked her friend to do but not satisfied with it.

creative kah?

One of myfriends posted something on his wall about the relation of teacher-student roles, and one of his friends attached a video that can be summarized that theconventional learning system is actually suppressing our creativity andimagination.

Afterwatching this, I think my creativity started to wake up. So, I start to surfabout DIY and I came across stuff that I’m really interested at and capable offor now (although there’s reasons of why I’m interested in them) :-

Why wire jewelry?

Well. With the influence of my cousin, I am very fascinated with dramatic andgothic-like rings. I surf about them and it’s all over the internet. But,sadly, it was so hard to lay my hands on them as it’s not really a common thingin my place. So I started to dream of making them myself and there goes thesaying “When there’s a will, there’s a way”, and it’s definitely true. I searchfor the supplier and guess what? Its only 10 minutes drive from my house. Istock up my supplies from GM Klang, right across the street of AEON JuscoBukit Tinggi. I never even realize that a group of building can have allkind of things and I have been driving past over it hundreds time. Firstly Ithought that GM Klang stands for GeneralMotor, when it’s actually an initial for General Market. Silly Me ; P.

DIY Brooch

I reallyhave fun making rings from crystal and wire. I even bought the DIY books onwire jewelry. After sometimes, i found out that I have allergy towards theserings. So damn sad T_T. i can’t wear them anymore. So i tried making bracelet, bangles, which i don’t really wear. It’s fun but since I don’t wear them ishould stop making them. I should make something that I would wear all the timeso it won’t become useless right? I wear hijab and the most important thing forhijabis is brooch. So I want to try making them. It was a trial and errorprocess since it’s very hard to find DIY books on brooch-making, at least thekind of brooch that I am wearing. Still in learning process to find the mostsuitable and efficient raw material to make brooch. I like being one of a kindor having ‘one of a kind’ things. So these DIY stuff is really satisfying as Ican make it however I like with whatever colour crystal I like.

Paper flowers

How Iinvolve in paper flower making is totally different than the wire jewelry stuff.Amongst my friend, it is very popular to get married at my age. It’s like virusand I’m affected too (the truth is I really want to get married fast). Afterattending my friends’ wedding and all, I decided to have a personal touch on mywedding day, despite putting all the wedding decorations stuff on the weddingpackages/planner shoulder like everyone did. I want to put my creativity inuse. At first I want to make my own invitation card. There’s few reasonactually on doing things myself. Rather than displaying my creativity, it’sreally the economy that I most concern of. If I order the wedding card that Ireally want (thinking of vintage-themed and lace and all), it will surely beexpensive. But my future spouse is against it, he don’t want me to go throughall the hardships just for invitation card. Then “Bunga Telur”, kind of goodieswith egg that will be giveaways to the wedding guest, comes in mind. It’s notreally hard to make and fewer to be compared to invitation card number. Isearch over the internet and I found interesting ideas that I think i canmaterialize. After I bought paper from a wedding craft shop, I found out Ibought the wrong kind of paper, the hard, crinkled type, instead of crepe paper(tissue-like texture). But it won’t be put to waste as I will make it usefulsince I made it myself. It’s still a paper flower.
